Looks like Bell has posted (http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/aspie/trueorfalse/newyear.html) part of his listener's predictions for 2005, the rest to be announced New Year's eve.

As you can expect, most of them are just plain wacky.

Good job, ZaphodBeeblebrox! You get a gold star.

Make sure you don't tell George what the color of your star is.

Why?

He can't Stand Masons?

No idea re the Masons, although it was 33 degrees earlier today!

18. Tony Blair will hit a crisis of conciousness and will withdraw British troops from Iraq.
conciousness [sic]? Perhaps he's been talking to Roger Penrose :)

The Guardian didn't do too badly in 1994 for 2004: You read it here first ... (http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,3604,1364135,00.html). Including:
Arnold Schwarzenegger is governor of California
and how they predicted it:

What about the California governorship? How on earth did they spot that one? "Oh, Arnie? We were just mucking about."

Least likely prediction!

53. Lisa Marie Presley will have a hit song.

22. Nuclear power plant disaster in Cleveland caused by vibrations from aircraft causing cracks.

:o I should hide. :D Good thing the closest nuclear plant is actually not in Cleveland but in Perry. Bad geography. It's also not close to any airport (though it is on a small fault line).

2. 2005 is the final exam for humans, new energy source will be brought forward or surpressed.
We better study. Is it going to be multiple choice or essay?

26. A tractor trailer will explode in a large US city.
I bet there will be a car accident too. #-o

57. A nuclear bomb in India. US invades Iran. A disease will attack our armpits. :o :o
I thought India had a bunch of bombs? Bad news about the armpits

A prediction for 2004:
1. It will be announced that the face on Mars is just rocks and
shadows.

Wrong.

Wrong according to who?

My favorites-

13. People of Canada will rally to become part of the USA.

Whoa now. Does this guy know any Canadians?

(22) A terrorist attack bigger than 911 will happen. Art deleted this because he said it was a political rant.
yet

8. Major terrorist attack against US and Canada in April. Simultaneous coordinated attacks in five major cities during morning rush hour.
Because you know the first time it was real but the second time it's said it's a rant. Rather consistant there.

27. Aliens will be proved to be not real.
As opposed to now where the UFO conventions pose shockingly real evidence that cannot be disputed.

44. Multiple UFO sightings in the southwest to the northeast US and Canada.
But but but... GAAAH! Ok, given, at least this way the C2C kids are right no matter what. That's one way to get credibility!

52. A celebrity will have an accident with a tree.
Now this one's just funny and made me laugh. I mean just let your imagination run wild here...

51. The Pope will pass away in May or June.
yet

56. The Pope will die on 15th March.
:-k

Ok, I'm done now.

There was also something about the next pope being black or French, depending on which prediction you pick.
I predict the pope will die in Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, or he won't. And if he does die, he'll be replaced by someone from the Catholic Church.

Wow, I'm amazing! 8-[

And I predict that the Pope's successor will be male and the owner of a red hat.

The Second American Civil War will break out.

Between the rich and the poor.

(Ok that's daft, but this is the silly season!)

Are any of the predictions for 2001 on file? (You know where this leads, dear reader) Did any of these predictions sound something like 9/11?

Here's an easy prediction: Michael Jackson will continue to look less and less like a human being. :)
