"Eagle, Freedom or GalaxyOne"

BORING. How about Fred, that's a nice name for a rocket? Or how about Helva, that really sings?

Companies are learning to limit the options and the possibility of submitting joke names in these polls because otherwise it leads to silly results like the whale named Mr. Splashypants, the vote that Justin Beiber's next stop on his world tour should be North Korea, or all of that weird messing around with the voting for TIME's Person of the Year a few years back. Here are some other examples (http://www.smosh.com/smosh-pit/articles/8-hilarious-online-voting-fails-0).

Those name suggestions are pretty lame. How about "Deltlas"? Or "Alta", which also means "high" in Spanish?
Speaking of write-in names, I seem to recall that when Stanford University held a vote to rename their sports teams the winner was "Banana Slugs".

I understand they shouldn't make it open, but as Trebuchet said, those names are lame.

"Geoduck" however is a great team name. ;)

I know "Geoducks" is already taken, but isn't the UC Santa Cruz mascot the banana slug? Take that Stanford! I vote we name the rocket 'sparky' or 'smoky' or something like that.

BoMart. LockBo. Or to get a few more sources in:
McBoDoLoMar. Oh wait, I've left out NAA and General Dynamics. Dang mergers, anyhow.
