I wouldn't even think of trying to make a pastiche' of your postings, but happy birthday, HUb'.

As someone who finds your postings always interesting if sometimes impenetrable, I will just say: please keep it up. I can't figure out Joyce, either, but he wrote some fun stuff.

And to the BA... what is more appropriate to this board than a genuine enigma? 'Through a glass darkly', indeed.

He told me, in so many words, that he appreciated me for taking the time to help him with MSN. He said I was nice. :D

The pay phone he called from was facing ~East, which was not good for him yesterday. :o

I told him he was so well liked on the BABB, and he appeared embarrassed, yet proud. I got him to chuckle.

The phone line had static on it. The programmed lady came on to interupt our conversation, since the few minutes were running out.

It was more like a feeling of mutual trust between him and I. It truely made my day. 8)

HUb' is a sweet man with a very nice voice.

(And next time remember to bug your phone first so you can share the recording!) :D

He is an older man with a nice soothing midrange (bordering toward deep) voice. I should have asked him if that was really his photo in the BABBalbum, but I forgot.

He sounds very normal. He hates to talk on the phone.

He seemed like a happy man. I got the feeling he really loves the BABB and BABBlers. :D

Don't mention bug? :-$

What about some of the sound files on his site. Like this one (http://web.pdx.edu/~pdx00782/au/io.wav) or this one (http://web.pdx.edu/~pdx00782/au/obsidian.wav). Does the male voice on those belong to him?

Are these sound files super huge, because I can never get them to download using dial-up.

Not huge, no. The first one is about 1 MB and the other is about half a MB.

sure! 66 years is just over 24000 days, and 68 years is just under 25000 days, and 66, 67, and 68 are all over 800 moons, but just barely. So, 67 is a nice tweener--it's a perfect number
