Thanks to an international effort and multiple radio telescopes, astronomers have visualized an event horizon for the first time.

Avery Broderick from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Canada with the Event Horizon Telescope did make another simulation of what Sagittarius A* might look like at the end of all the number crunching. Yes, it’s informed by seven years of data. But this is not a photo of a black hole.

By 'definition' I was thinking it must have some definition, however an image is constructed from the radiation information,

I have an odd sense of humor - mostly sophomoric - so I found it amusing. :) But a little of that kind of writing goes a long way.

That said, I see his point that the average person may believe that black holes have been imaged because there are so many artistic impressions available through various media.
