Since I haven't made it yet and won't make it till early to mid April I figure I'm open to suggestions  I'm going to be using Invision Hosting (http://www.ipshosting.com/?shared) to host both the Website and Forums, Which will be Invision Power Board 2.0.3 (http://www.invisionzone.com/), It's going to be sorta like Bad Astronomy only It will be debunking all the B/S thats out there: Yellowstone, Planet X, Ect. but as for now I am open to suggestions for a website name and url! What to call the site, ya know?

I have 0 names for it so far

Are you keeping with an Anime theme or are you going for a more conventional layout? Also don't be too hasty on us - a lot of good names will already be snaffled and that does severely limit your choice. A big part of the name process is the domain extension too, you have already mentioned .org and .net. These days it's real difficult to find a decent name for a .com that's not taken. Have you any preferences?

Don't expect any miracles but I'll have a think then scratch round Whois over the weekend to see if anything I can come up with is available.

Before you get too committed to this project try having a look at the Mythbusters forum to see what you might be getting into. The noise to signal ratio is extremely high.

No Anime. A Science/Debunking site.. For science purposes, The only place for anime will be general chat [-X It'll have a red and white website and I'm thinking of a syncronized site and forum, kinda like Invisionize (http://www.invisionize.com/)!

I have owned a forum before that had 7000 members and alot of posts, So I already know what I could be getting ready to go through.

Just did a quick check but do your own homework OK  rednwhite.net seems to be available.

Edit: As Evan has pointed out, make sure you know what you are going to be getting into - there is some very serious woo out there.

Yep, I took it from your earlier post about it being a red and white website. Red and white are used internationally for warning signs. You could use it as a theme to hang the site together. Just a thought.

 I didn't understand.. Red and White are the colors of warning though but I got it from this site (http://www.dranet.com/)! Cause it looks purty!

Ok, my fault - I misunderstood. From a 'view source', I see they are using
a:link {color:#800000; text-decoration:none} color:800000 which is a web safe maroon (http://www.webcolors.freeserve.co.uk/colorinfo.htm) with a red link hover. It works surprisingly well!

Actually I still like the name rednwhite.net but that was only a first shot - leave it with me.

Red and white either mean "cold weather, hunting, and good beer" or "cold weather, skiing, and good chocolate", depending on whether you refer to Canada or Switzerland.

I'll go with the good beer - in fact: pffftt! I think I'll have a can! (slurp!)

You going to cover all the -- well you know what--?!?!

I hope you and a bunch of volunteers have a lot of free time on your hands because you are going to need it. There is a lot of nonsense out there. :-(

You might consider a bit of focus: BA covers bad astronomy; RealClimate covers bad climate claims; TalkOrigins covers evolution denial, etc. I am sure that there still plenty of niches left.

But if you really want to cover it all: Bad reality. :-)

Can I take a healthy mix of cold weather, hockey, and any chocolate?
