Nitrogen, one of the essential building blocks for biomolecules, doesn't receive nearly as much attention in the literature, as some of the others. The authors focus on the various parts of the nitrogen cycle in a new model, called EarthN. SEE:https://arxiv.org/abs/1805.00893

Just FYI.

Most nitrate minerals are water soluble. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Nitrate_minerals) Don't know that anyone's ever tested thulium nitrate.
There are probably a few nitrites out there.

Nitride minerals actually do exist ion nature:

Silicon nitride (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silicon_nitride) may exist in the wild, but most is synthetic.
