The new BA weblog. (http://www.badastronomy.com/bablog)

I think he just wanted to use he phrase, "Got Mercury?" as often as he could.

I was wondering when someone would notice.

I've decided to start the blog so I can open up a bit and say things a little more freely. While I won't be outright impolite, or rude, I will write things there with a little more opinion.

How is "Got Mercury?" frisky? Isn't it a pun on those "Got Milk?" commercials, or am I mistaken?

I think he means "frisky" like being a little more adventurous. My posts here tend to be more matter-of-fact (the bane of being the admin), but the blog will be more personable.

Looking forward to reading, the way it came across to me when I read it was something like an OP-ED column, which is the only part of a newspaper that keeps more than a passing interest for me.

I like the Blog. But, I really miss the astronaut with firey boxing gloves. It epitomizes this board (and it's leader).

Well, duh, and I was just perusing the site today to see if you had put up anything new. Note to self, nav bars are also fair game to changes.

It won't be long before your blog gets national media attention and people flock here looking to agree or disagree in the BABB. Fun times ahead. :-?

Woo hoo. I was the first one to post about it. Can't wait for the astrology bash.

One suggestion, a link back to the main site would be good.

I liked the 'hundreds of dollars in my life insurance' bit. I spy with my little eye, some hidden wit.

I was the first one to leave a message/comment, and the BA sent me an email *does a dance*.

I've been spending hours thinking about this:

"Wholeness is awakening to your shadow as well as your light, balancing the upper, lower, and middle worlds, and integrating your past lineage with your future soul intention. "
Wow, that's some heavy stuff. I can't figure out, though, how to integrate my past lineage (I was adopted, so I don't know anything about my past lineage or can I make up past lives?) with my soul intention, so can I ever experience wholeness or am I doomed?

Fun reading.

To quote B.A. Powers, "Yeah, Babylog, yeah!"

Then there's a play on words of a play on words based on the Frank book:

You know, looking at the "UFO, I FO, we all FO" title could get you banned in here (with a little imagination) :-? :P

Actually, I was being silly with that title, and it never ocurred to me it might be misinterpreted. I guess I'll have to change it. Oh well.

Oh, don't worry about it, I just have an eye that sees things like that.

Recently at our industry convention I noticed that one of the assay labs that does work for us had a new booth. Right above the A-S-S of the word assay was a picture of the owner of the lab. She actually got the whole thing redone because that's all she could see after I pointed it out. :-?

Blog stuph:

News flash: Phil Plait sees mysterious movement (http://www.badastronomy.com/bablog/?p=33), somehow convinces himself that it isn't a ghost, but his own body part.

I'd go with shadow person. They are so in vogue.

And, if you haven't noticed it, check out the MC Hawking rap video cited here (http://www.badastronomy.com/bablog/?p=50).

You know, I still think that the shower curtain looks more like Col Saunders, which makes me wonder how much KFC the BA eats. ;)
