I know this is an odd question but Uranus's rings have an albedo of 1.5% and I was wondering if that was darker than the backdrop of space.

If we can image the rings then, of course, it can't be darker than the background. Do you mean if we were to go near to Uranus -- at least close enough to where it appears as an extended object, not a point source -- whether or not we would be able to see the rings given that very low albedo?
