An international research team recently found a binary star system with a debris disk that orbits around their poles.

This is both strange and beautiful. Of course we haven't really seen it, only an artist's impression, but still.

An artists impression it may be, but the letter in nature wasn't behind a paywall, so I'm gonna use the data shared in it and simulate this system... Once I'm done doing that I'll probably mess it up with a star with the mass of Eta Carinae :rimshot:

In the article it says that the stars that make up HD 9800 B are sun like stars... That's not true, reading up on the system for my simulation I found out one of them is a K Dwarf and the other is an M Dwarf.

The system before I decided to instigate some cosmic shenanigans:

23915

The system after I found that HD 98800 had called me a muppet:

23914

I AM A KOALA. NOT A MUPPET.

I AM A KOALA. NOT A MUPPET.

It's time for legal action. Godspeed.

Thank you, Sir! I'm gonna go all Ally McBeal on this binary system. First thing I need to do is to separate them before they can coordinate their stories.
