It's funny, I've seen a lot of people complaining about that site over the past few weeks yet I've never had a problem, despite going on there a couple of times per day. Weird - just lucky I guess.

So what date was the most recent picture update? I get the 19th April. Nothing since then.

They don't update the site every day - and there are stretches when no new pictures are posted for several days in a row. Nothing wrong with the site, just a matter of not having anyone around to post the lastest photos, I believe. Patience :)

Not true, they sometmes update it twice a day...... there haven't been any images posted from either rover since the 19th. However, new images are appearing on JPL's pages though. The only time that happens is when exploratorium breaks down - which it has down several times lately.

Well I don't want to belabour the point, but the Exploratorium is a non-profit site that relies on donations so it's not as if they are required to be bang up-to-date with the images. They're certainly not the official outlet for the photos.

For the most part they've been doing an excellent job of supplying the latest images, but I can well imagine that if the person responsible for uploading the photos is busy or off sick for a couple of days, they can get a little behind.

To say the site is "broken" is a little harsh (and inaccurate since the site is working, just not being updated for a couple of days).

Give the guys a break! :D

Maybe this is unrelated to your problem, but this message (http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=84efa2a34d fa5a153ced66b7a1cab290&search_in=posts&result_type =posts) at the unmannedspaceflight.com messageboard might help. I know I was having problems getting to exploratorium pictures from work, yet I could access them from home. In my case it turns out the website was fine but I was being blocked by a firewall.

The May 24 download (example: pancam (http://qt.exploratorium.edu/mars/opportunity/pancam/2005-05-24/)) was a real trip down memory lane: airbags, Eagle crater, on the road to Endurance. Those were the days.

Yikes, maybe Opportunity's life is flashing before its eyes!
