This past week saw the highly anticipated (we hope) season premiere of Astronomy Cast (http://www.astronomycast.com/). We got to revisit the very first topic ever covered on the show - Pluto and its demotion. We also premiered our new format and new opening credits, courtesy of animator Noel Ruppenthal and composer David Joseph Wesley (https://www.djwfilmmusic.com/). And I got to produce which was… an experience (a good one). If you haven't had a chance to check the new intro and formatting out, you can watch the latest video (https://youtu.be/qreJoGzZx-4) on YouTube.

Coming up this week, it's the return of the Weekly Space Hangout (https://www.wshcrew.space/), brought to you by the WSH Crew. The first guest is Joshua Stoff from the Cradle of Aviation Museum (https://www.cradleofaviation.org/), and of course, we'll have the usual cadre of journalists plus Fraser. Make sure you set a reminder on YouTube (https://youtu.be/XbbJIXioNS0) for when the show goes live!

Also, we're only a few weeks away from our next Hangout-a-thon, and plans are in the works to make this event bigger and better and more successful than previous years. Most of the staff are going to be at Pamela's house for that weekend, and we have lots of shenanigans planned, so please mark your calendars for October 23 and 24 and bring some friends. Let's grow this community!

In love and science,
Beth (filling in for Pamela who ate bad sushi)
