SUMMARY: Astronauts on board the International Space Station heard what sounded like a tin can being crushed against the outer hull, bringing up the possibility that there was some damage to the station. The sound might have been produced by equipment on the station, or it could have been space junk brushing against the hull. A spokesman for the Russian Space Agency said that all the systems on the station are working properly, and an outside inspection of the station didn't show any damage.

Does the ISS have a radar to detect objects that are around the station? or to map objects coming near the craft? As I understand Nasa does keep a track on objects (space junk and other objects) But can the ISS also track these objects?
Thank you MBPSR1

.... and why is there no move to clear up all the "Space Junk". We've cluttered the Earth with it and now we're cluttering space with it!!!

If there is another life form watching no wonder they don't reveal themselves if this is what they see of us!

Lets do some action! Why doesn't do NASA anything? What if a real big chunk of spacecrap hits the ISS and they kill the crewmembers? What then?
