I found the raw pictures from Spirit at http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/gallery/all/spirit.html
and I made a viewer to see them in stereo. But they are not in color.
Does anyone know where I can get the same pictures in color?

I think the reason why you can not find any colour images is because of the way the cameras work. Only the panoramic camera is capable of taking 'colour' images and it does this by taking several greyscale pics with different filters in from of the camera for different wavelengths. To make a colour pic from the raw images you need to download the different channels seperately and then merge them into photoshop. Obviously NASA has calibration data to mix these channels together correctly, but if you just want something that looks reasonable you should be able to do it manually by eye.

The NASA naming scheme for the raw images consist of a long number followed by L or R (left or right I'm guessing) and then a number (the filter ID, again another guess) and then M1.jpg A quick test suggests that ID 2 is red, ID 5 is green and ID 6 is blue.

Hope this helps.

I am curious why is there cut out from the black and white photos from
mars? Maybe the government does not want us to see whats been
blacked out?
