Would an asteroid/planet such as Quaoar move it's orbit closer to the sun over millions of years as it continued to gain mass from it's own gravity pulling in other asteroids and space dust? Thank you for your time.

Hi Dave,
If, on average, the matter it accretes is landing on the leading side, and slows it down, then yes. If faster matter hits it from behind and speeds it up, no. The most likely answer is, on average yes, but not much. Note that it is NOT the increased mass that makes this happen, but the transfered momentum.
