It's now 1:12 am, December 31st in Melbourne, Australia, and I am in the same timezone as our good friend Chook. As Damien rightly points out, he is running at GMT +5000.

True! Previously Ola D set the record for most distant birthday, but Chook has surpassed her.

Ah Gee, boys and girls ... you've REALLY made my day!

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH.

It's only 6.15am in the morning so the birthday bid hasn't sunk in yet. She Who Must Be obeyed is waiting to go walking so I gotta go.

Thanks Kashi! and everybody. Luv ya!

She Who Must Be obeyed
Now that is creative. I like it.

Happy Birthday Chook. Only 21? Why I have children older then that.
Have a nice one anyway.

Hi guys - had a great day ... wonderful party on the Adventurer. Sorry, got a bit pissed - but you know how it is.

Ya know what? Ola was the best dancer there. And Jimmy's band just rocked (with Anton playing his Krumhorn).

BTW - did you know that Richard Feynman was a terrific percussionist?

Great day, and fun was had by all. THANK YOU again!._

Glad you had a good time Chook. I think you walked on poor Ola's feet about a dozen times, but it's nothing a good rest won't cure.
However, it's almost New Years on Mars, so let's strike up the band again with Auld Lang Syne in the key of F! Trumpet solo after the first verse, accompanied by krumhorn.
How much longer till we head for home Antoniseb?............?????
Oh, sorry, I'm posting in the wrong section, I think I had a little too much spiked punch!!

No way! I'll not dance with you Chook again on New year ;)
And it's Krumhorn, not kraphorn...

Ok back to topic, glad you had a good day. Enjoy the coming years!

Thanks Ola. I don't see the humor in it either... well maybe the first time, but not repeatedly.

I'm married, and can't get romantically involved, but if you'd like to dance to celebrate the New Year, I'm available for that.
