I personnally have several websites of my own. One is my own to call mine http://eaglespride.9k.com It was my very first and I made it when I was eleven but never finished it. I did it with a company called 9K www.9k.com which I give a 2 out of 5. I have a fansite that I maintain for a game called astro battle (www.astrobattle.com) Right now it is under a serious remodeling and is has not been republished yet. My third is a new personnal site that I am working on in my spare time. The last 2 sites I made with a division of lycos called tripod, I give it an 8 out of 10. B)

You must be pretty experienced and competent by now. Are you considering becoming professional?

Nothing like earning your living, doing what you love. ;)

My business site: http://www.ideascape.com.au
My climate change project (not making any money yet): http://www.climatechange.com.au

Some clients' websites I've done:
http://www.positivecounselling.org.au
http://www.waveglobal.com
http://www.animalregister.net
http://www.advancedplanningsystems.com

I've been doing it for about 6 years (since I was in year 9), and I still earn a bit of money from web development while studying. I wouldn't say I enjoy it that much, but it's better than working at KFC.

To damienpaul, to who are you refering to when you say proffesionals? I would like to hear about your undertaking as well.

And in reply to kashi, what application do you use to create your website, just out of curiosity.

Finnally I would like to answer chooks post. In the past few years I've gotton alot of experience by creating promotional sites and fan sites for various things on line. Although I enjoy creating websites it is not exactly my career plan. I plan on getting in the Air Force acadamy and becoming an officer.

One last thing to damienpaul. If you do need a site to be created contact me.

I do all HTML and PHP coding manually (of course) using HTML Kit. I use phpMyAdmin to setup the database, and I usually use my own custom made content management system to manage content dynamically. For http://www.climatechange.com.au I'm using wordpress to deliver news and phpBB for the forum.

Astronomyforbeginners.com is $1.33 away from making a profit! I stuck some GoogleAds on and they've very nearly made back the years hosting cost in about 6 months.

I started my own website because no other had the kind of news I like to read everyday. I also have a few columnits who work with me, and new features coming soon.

Besides raising two boys, this is the hardest thing I've ever done... and the most fun.

Can't Help but wondering, but would anyone know a person who goes by "SunJester", or something like that. No reason  . I'm sure that he's been on this topic. Dont ask how. If you do tell him that his prank was quite funny but it won't work again. And thank him for not doing worse ;) .
