As you all can see, astronomy is very general. Its the scientific study of diemensions, distributions, motions, compositions, energy and evolution of celestial bodies. So Which type of astronomy you guys like? Constellations? Nebulae? Black Holes? Comets? Astrophotography? and many many more. For me I'm interested in studying star clusters. I love M45 the most aka Pleiades. Ok hope you guys can reply :D

The mutual coupling among each of them and the permanence of their configurations.....cosmology and her cousin cosmogony.

I love all types of astronomy, but at least cosmology, because itīs too hard. And I like also astronomical photos, but I donīt practize astrography, because Iīm not a friend with a technic :)

To xXxDarkSkyNitexzxXx:
Thatīs OK. It is a science about the origin of the universe a it learns how elementar particles behave or something like that. Itīs only about numbers and abstract things and itīs very difficult. I canīt imagine proceses which it studies.

Hi xXxDarkSkyNitexzxXx

My favourite is like last night, using no equipment whatsoever, looking up at an extremely cold winter sky. It was magnificent. Though binoculars and telescopes can enhance what you are looking at, I get a sense of amazing beauty when I see the sky as a whole. Castor, Pollux and Saturn looked amazing. The Pliades, Taurus, Orion, I could go on. and on and on!! I am looking forward to later as for a change it looks like we are going to get two cloudless winter nights in a row, and I'm heading west away from the light pollution!!

The jewel in the crown was Sirius. I'm not sure I've ever seen it as clearly. Simply stunning!!

I agree with JakeNorris i like to just look at the sky mostly as a whole sometimes with binocs because my eyes arent very great, and the constellations just look phenominal its hard to beleive we are among such beauty.. and one of the things i really love to think about is how light from very distant celestial bodies takes such a long time to reach earth it is basically like taking a look into the past...something to think about when ur bored... :)

Im new whats cosmology? Here (http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/~jcohn/tcosmo.html), here (http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr162/lect/), here (http://www.iop.org/EJ/toc/1475-7516/2005/01), and here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmology) are some links to get started. The last one listed has a link to cosmogony.
