OK, so universetoday.com is the top space news website, a given.

Space.com and astronomy.com are also good.

By space, do you mean manned space travel or astronomy? The two are quite different. These nine sites are among my favorites:

Astromart.com

Astronomy magazine - Astronomy.com

Astronomydaily.com

Heavens-Above.com

Sky and Telescope - skypub.com

Space.com (there are factual errors on this site from time to time)

SpaceDaily.com

Spaceweather.com

SEDS - http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/

For my daily visits its usually universe today....

The other sites I frequent are skyandtelescope.com - mostly for their skychart. Occasionally I check out astronomy.com

I also like the ESA's site and Nasa's site although nasa dosent update their news section often enough...

http://www.nasa.gov

UT Rocks!, so far it's my favorite.

AstroStart.nl

English sites:

Universe Today of course

www.spaceflightnow.com
www.spaceref.com
www.spacetoday.net
www.space.com

and of course the many mission sites :)

I'm Dutch so I place the best Dutch astronomy sites too

I think www.astrostart.nl is the best Dutch astronomy site. Not because it's my site, but just because it has the most news and is the most active. SpaceSecrets.com is also pretty good and I think www.astronieuws.nl is not bad either.

sky & tel was originally 2 separate harvard publications---'the sky' and 'telescope', or such. in the early 1940's harvard sold the two to charlie federer, jr., and sky & tel was born as one mag. while it may seem intimidating to some, it easily remains 'the bible' of amateur/pro astronomy. IMHO---no substitute---
