SUMMARY: Kari A. Kuure took this picture of the Sun on the 9th of July from Tampere, Finland.
Kari used a 150/20063 mm lens telescope with a solar filter, and a Canon EOS D60 ISO-400 camera with a 1/45 exposure time.

I am pleased to see that old Sol is getting some attention.

Those who bemoan the lack of public interest in space science might consider the space science community's lack of interest in the one celestial object that most influences our lives.

Hi codrinb, welcome to the UT forum.

This is an artifact of the automated system here, and we SHOULD probably fix it. Sometimes we post a link to an image, and there is no story, but a link still gets generated. You'll find this same failure in the links from the last five or ten such images.

Yeah, there's no full article. Astrophotos are only featured with a summary.

Hi,
The focal length of telescope was wrong, it should be 2063 mm - not 20063 mm. Sorry, this was my mistaken.
