Anyone here remember shows like Beyond 2000 and Next Step? Since both shows are gone, are there any website online or TV shows where I can I find out more about gadgets, gizmos, and technological advances as well as a peak into a future?

It's been a while since both Beyond 2000 and Next Step are gone, and I need to look up at something to re-invigorate my imagination.

I certainly remember Beyond 2000, in fact I remember Towards 2000 from the distant past too! In Australia there is a currently a program called Beyond Tomorrow which is probably stetching the "Beyond" thing a little.

I googled "Beyond Tomorrow" and lo & behold, I found it (http://www.beyond2000.com). It's actually a spin-off or continuation from Beyond 2000.

I also came across this show called the Human Edge on National Geographic. Should I watch it?

Beyond Tomorrow is quite good stuff. Beyond corp. also produce a lot of stand alone documentaries.

I actually saw Beyond Tomorrow years ago before I'd heard of Beyond 2000. All in all, I really preferred Beyond Tomorrow. I realized the shows were similar, but I'm not sure I realized they were actually related or not.

Okay, just looked at the beyond2000.com website linked and that's NOT the same series exactly. Was able to find this.

From that it seems that maybe it was a US only spinoff of Beyond 2000 that was then replaced by the original Beyond 2000 show. It aired on Fox from Sept of 1988 to Dec of 1989.

The Science Channel has a "news of the week" type program Fridays a lot like CNN's old Sci &Tech week/neXt programs.

Last week it was HLLVs and rocket bikes.
