SUMMARY: Thomas Davis took this picture of NGC 2244 (open cluster) and Rosette Nebula on 22nd November, 2005. Tom took this image in hydrogen alpha light.

What happens on the nebula in the universe?I want to know and what about their function?

Fraser, the link does not pull up the photo. I would like to see the Rosette in Hydrogen alpha. It's a very difficult visual object with amateur scopes, but absolutely fall-off-a-log easy with cameras. Nice piggyback object. Somewhere, I've got a 5x7 of the Rosette, but at the time I was using Konika ASA 3200 - can you say grain? Sure, I knew you could.
