Since I couldn't find a "bad math" forum ....

I got a kick out this example of bad math from an Associate Press story today:

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The odds of the same Oklahoma Pick-3 lottery numbers coming up two nights in a row are a million to one, but that's just what happened last weekend.

The numbers 1-7-5 were selected at random both Saturday and Sunday night.

The odds of your numbers (assuming you bought one ticket) being picked two nights in a row are a million to one. But the odds of the same numbers coming up two nights in a row are, of course, 1000 to 1. The writer seems to think that Saturday's draw of "1-7-5" somehow made it 1000 times less likely that "1-7-5" would be picked on Sunday.

How about looking for a bad math thread (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php?t=35926)?

Sorry ... I'm new here and didn't see that ..... At least it confirms I was right about the bad math. If I was wrong, it would have been really embarrassing.
