(The fallowing is a cover, this is unneeded information, please just move along and post whatever you want, thank you)

Ok, I thought we could use a new repetitive posting topic, so here we go.

You rate the person that posted last by how much you respect them, scoring rubric goes as...

0- You dislike the person and have no respect for them.
1- You don't know anything about the person.
2- You have respect for the person.
3- You have a lot of respect for the person, and often look up to them.
4- This person is awesome, and I have a lot of respect for this person and think they are among the more intelligent people on the boards.

If someone falls between the numbers you may post in decimals, just don't get to crazy with it. Example: 2.485849237584937589372589437254937

Also, you may give an explination for your score, Ex: "I gave you this because...."

Give it a try and don't be shy! Have fun!:D

I give your post a 2.485849237584937589372589437254937.

I'm sorry.. I wasn't going to post to this, but I have to. I will NOT rate anybody... those whom I respect should be able to tell from my posts. Whether I respect poster A and not poster B is no business of any other member of this board. And those I do NOT respect.. why should I care about them enough to tell them so?

I know that this is just a cover for something else, and it looks like this thread is deteriorating rapidly, so I want to say a few serious things about this.

I would not rate anyone here a 4, except maybe JayUtah, however, this is based more on his reputation than on any posts of his that I have read (since I don't hang out in the Conspiracy Theory forum).

The only poster I would ever rate a zero was oriel36. The person really had issues, especially his unbridled animosity towards Einstein.

As for number 1, well, for the most part we don't really know each other well, only those things that we have chosen to tell.

Mostly I rate people here a two. I respect most people here even if it doesn't always seem so and I occasionally rankle someone.

There are a few posters here that I would rate with a three, such as Tim Thompson (knowledgeable), Nereid (oh! those questions!), Eta C (for particle physics), and the untypeable string that kilopi/milli360 is using now (he keeps me on my toes!).

This thread can now return to its inevitable decay! :)

With the history of "creative" names and early bannings, I truly am amazed that you weren't banned on day 1 Mr Jass. It is clear now that you're a serious poster obeying the rules, but that name was a good start for a near-death experience :). Apparenly you slipped through the System ;).

Well, thank you for your input, the reason I thought it might work is because it is a big hit on my other Forums, but the age group is just a bit different, and I should have thought of that earlier, my apologies.

I let it go crazy because otherwise it would be me defending my pointless thread as it gets hijacked by a few people and then gets locked, and I didn't want that to happen, so I just thought we could have some pointless open discussion until a mod finds it useless or people just quit posting.

How about this guys, when one of you want to be rated, just ask and people can join in and rate only if you want, and we can leave the rest of the thread to be general chat, that way no one gets offended, and it is somewhat on topic, so how about it?

My female boss summed it up best during a dreaded counseling session. She said that either I'm very naïve or very wicked. Well, I'm not wicked. She realized this after she spent more time with me. She is working with me on my social and communication skills. She likes me, now, and comments on my progress. http://www.bautforum.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

My male boss still thinks I'm a witch. I cursed him yesterday with another set of twins. [Over a year ago, he told me he was expecting a child. I said, "Wouldn't it be funny if you had twins?" He had twins.]

Normally the only opinions I form about people are negative. I either don't care or I dislike. That being said there are always exceptions (my wife and kids of course).
Mickal555 you are a 5. I love your forum, although I haven’t memberized myself there, you are exceptionally rational and mature beyond your years, without the associated arrogance I would expect. But beyond all that you started the Acronym game!

Have fun!:D

I like numbers too much to waste any in this ridiculous bit of string.

I'm not even holding up one finger anymore, my fists are clenched.

She is very dominating, complicated, but very interesting. She is a "lost soul" in need of a home. She's found it here. She is very smart with music. She's almost a tiger at the subject.

Don't know your bosses intent in saying so, and I know that observing someone's posts is not the full read, but I would throw down a huge bet against anyone to prove you are either very naive or very wicked; operative words there being very and very.

Here is a fun Logic Puzzle for you, see if you can figure it out....

There are two lengths of rope.
Each one can burn in exactly one hour.
They are not necessarily of the same length or width as each other.
They also are not of uniform width (may be wider in middle than on the end), thus burning half of the rope is not necessarily 1/2 hour.

By burning the ropes, how do you measure exactly 45 minutes worth of time?

Simple, given the properties of the rope as described it's impossible to cut a piece so you know in advance that it'll burn in an hour.
The puzzle is logically inconsistent as written and thus doesn't exist.

The nonjoke answer is really simple as well.
Light one rope in both ends, the other in one. When the one lit in both ends has burned out light the last end, when the last rope is done burning 45 minutes have passed

If you hit a bird in freefall (one big enough to worry about), being naked would probably be the least of your worries. Strange that I've never heard of it happening, and I've asked a bunch of the "old" guys and they've never heard of it either. I'm gonna have to post that to a dropzone forum.

I wonder if a human approaching from above at 120 MPH even registers on the birds senses?
