Well, this is one of my last posts this year, as I´m going to the beach for vacations (it´s summer, remember?). :)

A merry Christmas to you all (even to the atheists like me), and a white one, where possible. I wish you all guys and girls a 2006 full of acomplishments. Just don´t drink too much on the new years eve party. And case anything go wrong remember: DON´T PANIC!

With regards.

Yes indeed, we looked certain to have a White Christmas up until a couple days ago. But we've hit a warm spell and the snow is melting fast. Still a few inches on the ground, but today's forecast is for 41 F. Slush city by this afternoon; so much for Christmas weekend skiing, and time to top off the windshield fluid reservoirs!

Everyone have a Happy & Merry Hana-Rama-Kwanz-Mas!

Happy New Year, Joyous Chanukah, Merry Christmas, Blessed Ramadan, Cheerful Kwanzaa, Rhapsodic Winter Solstice (or Summer Solstice, depending on your hemisphere). May your burdens be light, may the road rise to meet your feet, and may a song fill your heart. Dark skies to you all.

From Futurama:

He knows when you are sleeping,
He knows when you're on the can,
He'll hunt you down and blast your *** from here to Pakistan.
You better not breathe, you better not move,
You're better off dead, I'm telling you, dude.

You gonna become an engineer?

I've given some thought to going to engineer school (there is one, just outside Sacramento CA).. but it's $5000 for a lark, and birds shouldn't be that expensive.

I have my own company to run (with my partner) and I can't really take off 6 weeks (or is it 4? i forget) for something like that.

Yet.

Yeah, I was saying "shrimp" because our American cousins don't generally know what a prawn is.

Hope he wasn't eating Sydney prawns; they are meant to be very bad this year - harbour pollution or something.

I generally don't eat them fresh anymore. When I was growing up, we used to have a fellow drop round with fresh prawns and crays; literally we were the first stop.

After you have really fresh, really nice West Australian prawns, everything else just can't meet the standard.

Poop chute - yuck. I suppose he eats the heads as well?

Happy Holidays to everyone!

And I trust you've all been good girls and boys, and watched the holiday classic that's a tradition this time of year, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians!

A finer film was never committed to, uh, film.

Here are three unforgettable scenes:

http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5608/droppo027mt.th.jpg (http://img528.imageshack.us/my.php?image=droppo027mt.jpg)

and, of course, no one should mess with TORG!

http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5126/droppo30bb.th.jpg (http://img528.imageshack.us/my.php?image=droppo30bb.jpg)

What a great scifi film for the holidays! It just ain't xmas without Santa Claus Conquers the Martians!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Let's all sing along with,

HOORAY FOR SANTA CLAUS

S-a-n-t-a-C-l-a-u-s,
Hooray for Santy Claus!
You spell it S-a-n-t-a-C-l-a-u-s,
Hooray for Santy Claus!

Hooray for Santy Claus!
Yay yay for Santy Claus!
He's fat and round, but jumpin' jiminy,
He can climb down any chiminey

When we hear sleigh bells ring,
our hearts go ting-a-ling,
'cause there'll be presents under the tree,
Hooray for Santy Claus!

Now all year long at the North Pole,
He's busy making toys,
But he knows just what you're doing,
So you better be good, girls and boys

Hang up that mistletoe,
Soon you'll hear "Ho! Ho! Ho!"
On Christmas day you'll wake up and you'll say,
Hooray for Santy Claus!

Hang up that mistletoe,
Soon you'll hear "Ho! Ho! Ho!"
On Christmas day you'll wake up and you'll say,
Hooray for Santy Claus!

S-a-n-t-a-C-l-a-u-s,
Hooray for Santy Claus!
You spell it S-a-n-t-a-C-l-a-u-s,
Hooray for Santy Claus!

Hooray for Santy Claus!

Hooray for Santy Claus!
