SuitSat is a spare surplus Russian space suit outfitted with a radio transmitter that will be shoved out the back door of the ISS sometime Friday Feb 3. Anyone with a police scanner will be able to hear it as it goes overhead!

Download the text file http://64.235.231.60/AstroPhotographs/SuitSatTrack.txt for full details, including a NASA tracker that requires only your ZIP code (for USA -- lat/long for everyone else) to show you when SuitSat and the International Space Station pass overhead!

I'm a ham radio operator, and I've heard operations from space similar to this before. It's about as simple as it can get -- 145 MHz FM is line of sight transmission, and unless there's a duck with a buttful of birdshot flyin' by, you should be able to hear SuitSat with no problem.

Have a little fun this weekend...go satellite hunting!
