View Full Version : Rule number 11 (Revisionism)

Rules For Posting To This Board (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php?p=564845)

11. Editing & Revisionism

Edit your posts with care. There's no problem with editing a post later to change the tone or to correct spelling and the like. But changing content is not allowed! This is a slippery path that can be seen as revisionism.
Is this still in effect and enforced?

I know that this article (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php?p=576162#post576162) in GeniusAntiRelativeExperiment and this newly revised topic-starter Universal system? (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php?t=34450) morphed some over months of discussion.

Not having recorded the originals, I cannot say how much they were revised over time. I do not know if it was substantial. Anyone?

Is that a good thing? Do claimaints of theories get a special pass to extend and revise their original claim? Doesn't it just muddy the thread? Or does it make clearer what is being discussed, by making clearer the claim?

Edit (amended not revised!): I might have just got something of an answer. Moderator Josh just asked ngeo to restore the original Universal system? here (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php?p=689098#post689098).

Funny you asked right when he enforces the rule, figures right?:D

Yes, Rule 11 is still in full effect and the threads above have been under the watchful eyes of the moderators. Claimaints do not have exemption from this. ngeo had already been contacted about this privately. Rest assured we have our antennae up and or radars out.
