I would love to go, but the whole "Mom dad I am going traveling with some strangers" thing is not going to fly. All well, just have to wait till I am a bit older...

Only if you can pick me up in Olympia first . . . .

Just a reminder. Anyone wanting a lift needs to get at least as close as BWI Airport and preferably closer than that. Olympia is right out. ;)

Dang, I'd like to go, and I'm local (Alexandria VA). Unfortunately, I need to get back out to Fairfax VA by 6:30 that night. Anyone who's driven the Beltway during rush hour knows that that would be a formidable task. Frankly, Gillian, you'd have an easier time getting here from Olympia and back in the same amount of time.

Well, except for the fact that I have $.12 left for the month--and my disability may get cut off next month (long story).

I called and am already on the "official list." That should be enough, right? The person I talked to didn't say I need an employee escort.

Well, it was a very interesting lecture (though not a whole lot of new stuff for longtime BAUTers), plus I got the meet the lovely pumpkinpie into the bargain. Phil and I also had a nice dinner at the Japanese restaurant across the street from Goddard, where we discussed in detail what we really think of you all. ;) Phil seemed happy to be back at his old stomping grounds and to see some old friends who were in the audience.

I was too busy today to add my comments here until now!

I had a wonderful time. The talk went pretty well; scientists make an enthusiastic and receptive audience. :-) ToSeek and I had fun talking in the restaurant for, what, two hours? Even if my soup was... odd. I'm sorry PumpkinPie had to leave early.

I got some nice email today from some friends who were at the talk, too. I've given many, many talks, and I love positive email from anyone, but getting one from another scientist is very satisfying. Not all scientists agree that debunking and this sort of public outreach is very becoming. Personally, I find that attitude bizarre, but there you go.

So all in all, an interesting and fun trip!

I know and understand you're busy and all, but could you kinda, sorta, update your schedule on the BA page? How do you expect us to come and see you if we don't know where your gonna be? ;)
