SUMMARY: This is a photograph of the unusually happy Galle Crater on Mars. ESA's Mars Express took a series of 5 images shaped like strips which were then assembled on computer to build up a single photograph. Galle Crater is 230 km (143 miles) across, and located on the eastern rim of the Argyre Planitia impact basin on Mars.
