View Full Version : Search engine for fiction?

If you write fiction (or anything else), Internet made it easier than ever to get published, but harder than ever to get noticed. Every day tons of stories go online, and hardly anyone reads any given one. Which is very frustrating to authors, but also pretty frustrating to readers -- at least this particular reader. There are a lot of stories out there I personally would enjoy reading, but no easy way to find them.

A solution to both problems could be a search engine in which you type the description of fiction you would like to read, and it would find the stories which match it. "I want a story with Shub-Niggurath but no Cthulhu, Greek setting, satyres, and a character named H.P.Lovecraft." "About 1,100 hits. Care to narrow your search?"

If what you're looking for appears in a blog somewhere, technorati (http://www.technorati.com/) may help.
