A story that is written(by adding three words) back to front ,although the tree words are in ordinary arrangement(ie first to last)therefore it must start with.....

....wobble. The End.

Alright. I can't parse the sentences in in this story right now. Also, I had the impression that we were trying to write an interesting story backwards but some players seem to think the low standards of the woo-woo game and question with a question game apply here. I am disappointed, but I am asking players here to improve their efforts, and read the story before adding the preceding three words.

I thought it was quite funny.:)

I second that... but, ok... where lies the problem, Anton? Maybe you can edit the post (If it's mine, I give ya permission :-) )

antoniseb

The problem started with Frog March's quote mark in post 21. I tried to save it in post 22, and you made the fix impossible in post 23. You can edit it if you want, but then what do we do with posts 24 & 25?

WaxRubiks
2006-May-29, 03:58 PM
in post 21, I meant "she said [open quotations]" not close quotations.

sorry about that.
I think that there is far more scope, in this game, for mistakes.
In the neverending woowoo game if someone makes a mistake it can get resolved as the game progresses; with this game mistakes seem to be harder to put right.

I think that it would be better for someone to start again(on this thread)and then see how far we get next time.

Sure, starting again seems reasonable. This is a very tricky game that requires more effort to get it right. In my mind, THAT is what makes it most worth playing. Concerning the open quote you inserted, there was no other (closing) quote in the story, so I had to read it as a close quote. So let's try again:

eyebrows. The End.

OK: Setting everything right again through some corrections:

once again Oscar paused, as they we confused, and Oscar repeated what she said: "in the kangaroo court we have false optimism, but in the end we were found guilty because we were." That being So, he undertook the disheartening task of removing bruised lacerated flesh out of the scattered remains of the rocket. Then he gracefully, slowly climbed up, the he fell, but that was before he tried to wobble. The End.

List of Changes: the words "told to" in post 14 have been replaced with "That being". The quotation marks have been relocated (and so has a colon). Acceptable now? :)

Anton, if you want any changes, edit this post of mine, so you don't have to post again.

EDIT: Darn, I missed the second page. If you wanna start again, it's ok. But there will be mistkes. We're not gonna start again everytime, are we?

We're not gonna start again everytime, are we?

I don't have a problem with that. In improv school we have some difficult games that require getting everything exactly right, or else you have to go back. That would make this a game that exercises some different kinds of thinking than the other games around here, which just for the sake of variety would be good. But I think it would be good also, because it will result in some interesting short stories. Backward writing games are very difficult, but worth it.

So, once again I post the end of our second story:

eyebrows. The End.
