I was looking for a definition of kilopi on wikipedia and discovered that Kilopi is the name of an asteroid discovered in 1937.

3142 Kilopi (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=3142_Kilopi&action=edit)1937 ACJanuary 9 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_9), 1937 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1937)A. Patry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Patry)

I suppose this is not news but it is probably new to some people, as it was to me.

edit- I added an entry for "kilopi" in wikipedia by the way, feel free to edit/add to it.

Aah, so this is where it all comes about!

The thing is though, after the various database rebuilds that have taken place, the present {i]BAUT kilopi limit[/i] is set at 2815, so there is much scope there for an increase in posting activity.

His post was the source of the screen name, too.
