The September/October issue of the Skeptical Inquirer has an article by the BA about the whole star naming scam.

My copy showed up yesterday! For some reason the article seems pretty familiar . . . ;)

I got a copy in Borders on the outskirts of Leicester today - two different buses to get there, and they had three copies. (Which may be the only ones on sale in Leicestershire?). I'm trying not to miss an issue, perhaps I should subscribe again, it would save on time spent travelling!

When Phil mentioned that the International Star Registry being 'registered' at the Library Of Congress not meaning much, I had a look in their catalogue. There is a book by 'Plait, Philip C.' there too. ;)

While Phil's article may be familiar, I hadn't heard of the icefish - a fish with no blood, but ice water in its veins.

I hadn't either, I found it to be a really interesting article as well.
