The pro-evolution site TalkOrigins (http://www.talkorigins.org) has a new section on Supernovae, Supernova Remnants and Young Earth Creationism (http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/supernova/) that refutes Young-Earth Creationist claims of supernova remnant evidence of a young universe while also providing an interesting overview of supernovae into the bargain.

If I'm not mistaken, the debunking portion (http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/snrfab.html) of that website quotes extensively from Tim Thompson, a NASA employee and a regular here at the BABB.

My department head (Tom Krimigis) is one of the main people quoted on that page.
