Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but does anyone else notice anything wrong with today's What's up?

"Today in 1922, the highest air temperature ever recorded on the surface of the Earth occurred. The measurement was taken as Libya burned at a blistering 136F, but did you know that the temperatures in the sunlight on the Moon double that?"

hmmm, a bit of googling reveals that the maximum temperature of the moon is around 250F, so not far off, but fahrenheit is not an absolute temperature scale. Convert to the Kelvin scale and we have 331K vs 396K. Hardly double.

What does everyone else think?

That temperature has been measured in the rim of the desert. It´s a good bet that temps must have been even higher in the heart of the Sahara. Death Valley (US) has recorded similar temperatures.
