Caught in a bright , clear sky as it passed near the Moon earlier today.

Note the new P3/P4 truss array .

Nice catch John!
Was that in clear blue sky in the middle of the afternoon or something? That's a tough one to get. I've imaged Jupiter/Saturn in daylight, but the ISS would be a tough one I think.
:surprised

Hi Tom...

It was 1038 local , with the Sun just a few degrees away.
The thin crescent Moon was only just visible in the view finder so I didnt really hold out much hope.

I also had to "guesstimate " where to point .There was no sign of the station through the 8x50 finder.

The sky was clear and very bright............but it proves it is possible to image the station in daylight......providing you know where to look .

I think to capture the day image is difficult than in the night! really a great effort for a nice flying object (which is on a very high altitude).
