It seems like the PX'ers make the same mistake a lot. There will be one earthquake recorded by several stations and they will try to say each station recorded a different earthquake.

If you go to yahoo tt-watch group and start at message #14672, a quake is reported by txyall and then later Havas tries to turn it into multiple quakes. Queenvee and others try to correct him.

I wonder if this is how they are getting some of their quake numbers?

I am sure it is.....clearly, despite the number of times in tt-watch I have told them to take a geology class, none of them has yet...now gypsyleigh is sounding the alarm over a quake lasting 12 hours! And as evidence she sends readers to the USGS site, where anyone who knows anything can read that she is seeing the reports of one quake as it is being recorded in numerous locations as the waves hit that seismograph, as one long, continuous 12 hour earthquake! LMFAO.......

Yes it is. Here is a post of mine from tt watch;

The PXers have not been discarding all of the duplicates.

Red Puma lists duplicates, and is a source of the inflated figures given by the PXers.
