The telescope tracked pretty well, but it appears I shook it somehow.... still, the trapezium is almost resolved.

all taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. Charlottesville pictures with camera lens, other pics through Celestron C6-R 150mm refractor, 1200 focal length f/8 prime focus method. M42 was 10 second shot at ISO 400.

10 seconds at F8 on ISO400?

Jeeze that's insane! I can't get that nice of an image with 10 seconds at ISO1600 and F4 :P

Well done just need a violet remover to get rid of the violet halos around the stars. and take many pictures from 3-30 sec and see the hidden cloud structure and bring up the iso to 800. Clear Skies
