This theory makes sence...when the solar system was forming everything was very hot and probably about the same time earth was forming liquid water mars proably did the same thing as earth because the solar system was hotter then...then after it started cooling down the water started to freeze and all the water was pulled to the poles and frozen...that is the only thing that makes scence to me.

Maybe algae lived in this ancient ocean and produced the oxygen atmosphere that eventually turned the planet orange.
