Have you been following the lovely weather here in central Texas?

I usually follow weather in Australia. Not over the world at once, sorry jrkeller.

But tornadoes recently in Texas?

In some places two feet (yes feet) this week. Other places around a foot.

Man, those are some tiny tornadoes. I thought everything was bigger in Texas.

Welcome back! So, how is the (former?) drought condition in Australia? I haven't followed it so don't know whether it's over or still ongoing.

Blame it on the recent shuttle launch. That's what a certain bit of folklore did re the Apollo launches.

Drought is starting to break up in Australia. We had floods like England lately.

It's been dry as a bone for the past week or two here, in stark contrast to last winter, when we got probably 4 or 5 feet of snow in a couple of weeks at one point.

It is summer right now - we've been in the 90's (F) several times recently, and have hit 100F once so far. Last winter is when we got the snow :)
