Thanks Phil for your kind words my friend. Took some time in processing but it came out pretty good. :) Clear Skies

Unguided for 15 minutes takes a lot of care in polar alignment, stiffness of the setup etc. Very well done!

I'll say ! that is great, wouldn't have thought it possible!

That is an excellent image. Nice round stars, especially for being unguided.

Thanks Rick, Seeker, Kyle, Dietz for your comments i really appreciate it. Rick the little dot is on the 5 tail end actually was 1.5 minute not 15 i wish being unguided but some were taken 2.5 min 20% the rest at 1.5min. Sorry about that. Clear skies to all

It's still a good shot! I thought that was the font but see the other fives don't have that dot. Sorry for the mistake. These eyes aren't what they used to be!

I've seen folks that can tune a mount to amazing tracking accuracy but the CGE wasn't one of them. I do have my Paramount now tracking for 10 minutes at 3556mm focal length and that's taken a year of tweaks to accomplish along with a 400 star TPoint map! But 15 is still out of reach for me. Then if the temperature gets too warm expansion limits me to 5 minutes as something expands and changes the alignment. So now that its summer I'm down to 5 minutes unless high in the sky as with Comet Linear, that was 20 minutes unguided and unaligned. I didn't expect the offset tracking to be that accurate so did 1 minute sub frames but then never needed to align them. But that was an unusually cool night and it was at a high declination where errors are less visible. M8 is much closer to the equater so more of a challenge.

Wow! Great Image! I did not expect unguided also can get such a pretty image.

There's a guy with a good polar alignment! I have to guide everything to make up for my slop. ...and I still often get the dreaded Twikie shaped starts.

Thanks Palomar, Awyong, Tom. I'm running unguided until i resolve a problem with my guiding set-up can't find the right settings. and yes a very good polar alignment helps out pretty good in my situation. Clear Skies to All
