Two top riders out in three days. Sure glad there's never been any doping in good ol' American baseball. . .

So very, very sad. For a moment it looked like the Tour was going to be something good this year. Meh.

I don't really follow the Tour (apart from hearing everything on TV when my Dad's watching), but it is just... sad.

Well, at least we're seeing history in the making here.

What history? The first Tour that nobody wins?

...Like sharks to guppies, this rag-tag armada of ball chasers is known as Bonds Navy, as no one hits more home runs out of the park and into McCovey Cove than this player...

Oh well, we've still got the green shirt!

(nice thing about the Tour, you don't need to be first to win something :))

Bah, you've only got that cause McEwan got sick of winning it and pulled out (that's my story and i'm sticking to it)

Curious fact, Ras was sacked without failing any test, just based on some hearsay by some Italian reporter that says he saw him in Italy (it seems like in Rabobank they have more confidence in the word of a reporter than in the word of their own cyclist/excyclist)

No, he was suspended for avoiding tests, as well as lying about his location

I'm actually really happy to be hearing this news. For a long time I've found it hard to care much about professional cycling because I couldn't respect the way everyone appeared to be just turning a blind eye to (or living in denial about) all the rampant doping.

So I never really had high hopes for this Tour. But now that it looks like they might actually be getting serious about cleaning the sport up, it's looking like there's cause to believe that the Tour will be something good next year.

MAybe the leader should emulate Star Trek and wear a red shirt.

What else did you expect from a bunch of jocks?

Finally!

As my high school gym teacher used to say to the less-athletically inclined kids, "The jocks on you!" Felt sorry for those poor little guys on the bottom of the pile. The way they staggered around afterward made it look as though they were in their cups.

MAybe the leader should emulate Star Trek and wear a red shirt.Good idea. That way, if they survive, they'll have one more year of eligibility.
