Magnificent Desolation

Most, if not all of you probably know this URL already, but just in case .....

A guy named Ron Miller was in late August last year in the process of writing an ANTI-"moon hoax" book.

He posted at least two drafts online.

The latest draft has now been removed, but Ronīs 1. draft is still online at:

http://www.crosslink.net/~blackcat/moonhoax.pdf

(Youīll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read it).

This 1. draft is 59 pages long and has a foreword by Don Davis.

"Magnificent Desolation" (or just call me "MD" if thatīs easier !)

Unfortunatley Ron has had to abandon that project in favor of more mainstream pursuits. But he's with us in spirit.

ok doing some math Assume 29.5 days 1/4 moon to 1st 1/4
OR 14&3/4 days = 354 hrs = 180deg about 2hr/deg
Assume that at 4:17EDT Sun was East of Lunar Horizon
1st EVA was at 10:56 Six & 1/2 hours after touchdown
& lasted 2 & 1/2 hr = 9hr max after Touch Down = Sun up
{not enough lines here so see the other Post}
this line will be added later in a REVISION

MD, had a look at the link, it makes for an interesting socio-politico-scientific viewpoint on why conspiracy theories like this happen, and why they stick around.

An interesting read for anyone who hasn't seen it, and didn't see it at the time.

Wow, 3 year-old post... Still, I can see the reason for this "bump", even if it is more of just a bump than a post. Eh, I don't have a problem with it personally.

Hey! That's a Hub' post up there, but with no username!!! Is Hub' still having trouble with the site, and why would his old stuff be missing his username?

Is Miller working on a companion to THE DREAM MACHINES?

Dunno; this thread's three years old and I haven't spoken to Ron since then.
