Hi all.
Here are a few recent photos of our Moon taken, using my etx 125 and a sac 7 ccd in prime focus. All are 20 sec. avi's at 1/100 of a sec. 30 fps. processed in registax and cleaned up in photoshop and noiseware.

I like the last image the best..it seems particularly sharp..seeing must have been better-was it taken on a different night ?

I especially like #3. Having the curve of the edge in view gives a nice perspective. Notice how small the shadows are on the inside of Plato? The floor looks polished!

Yes. no. 3. The lighting athe shadows edge provides such wonderful relief and topography.

Hi Paul,

Nice images from a small aperture - when you can photograph the small craterlets near Stadius, the seeing is better than average.

I am finally getting into a little more astrophotography, so I offer my rookie prime focus shot. I overexposed a little to get a better view of the Sinus Iridum wall.

A Canon 30D is used at 1/5 sec. and ISO 125 speed.
