From the extreme medical oddity file:

This poor fellow has a rare immune disorder that prevents him from fighting off the HPV virus that causes warts, allowing it to run amok. You've got to see this to believe it. They call him "tree man" because it looks he's got roots growing off his hands and feet.

No thanks I don't want to see it.

Good news:

Dr Gaspari [...] believes that Dede's condition can be largely cleared up by a daily doses of a synthetic form of Vitamin A, which has been shown to arrest the growth of warts in severe cases of HPV.

"He won't have a perfectly normal body but the warts should reduce in size to the point where he could use his hands," Dr Gaspari said.

"Over the course of three to six months the warts should be come smaller and fewer in number. He will be living a more normal life."

I saw it, I cringed too. Now I wish I could unsee it.

So many things I can never unsee...

Yes, there are times that a lobotomy, or the MIBs "flashy thing", seems a good option.

Poor guy; but yeesh, I wish, I wish, Stumble Upon had not sent me there.
