Well, with the whole 15 minutes of clear night sky I've had the entire week in between the rain, I looked at Comet Holmes this evening, December 1st through a gap in the clouds with my 15x70mm binoculars, It looked bigger than the full moon, over a degree in diameter in size, and still quite bright. It inspired me to really!!!! set up my C8 SCT fast, polar align manually and attach my Canon 400D piggyback on top of the scope. I could hear the wind howling as another heavy shower was approaching from the west after this stormy day, and I managed to shoot these stacked 4 frames with my Canon ef 70mm L lens. I had no time for dark frames as it was then raining again.

This is still a great sight!!!
The comet still has a beautiful oval shape, even though it had faded somewhat, It is still a beautiful sight to the naked eye, what do you think???

Clear skies,

Oh wow. Well I'm going to go hide in the corner and mutter disparaging things about where I live and light pollution.
