This is my first attempt at a dark nebula so thank goodness there is so much Ha in it. It was a windy night so only a few images were usable. As a result I have probably over prosessed the noise reduction. Any way I will keep at it.

Hi Matt,

I like your choice of objects. This is a great start! With a little more data, I think you will see more nuances emerge, and as you mentioned, probably need less correction for noise. Keep up the good work!

Agreed, this is a bare minimum of data and I hope to gather more while it is still near the meridian for us. It will also climb higher here as our summer wanes. Thanks for your kind words.

Nice photo! I love the Horsehead Nebula; it has an especially mysterious allure to it. It's not the prettiest nebula out there, but I have to say it is my favorite for some reason I can't quite define. :)
