View Full Version : Problems with MyNasa at nasa.gov

I have problems with MyNasa at nasa.gov (weird, that's what the title says:)).

When i log in i get an overview of my chosen news boxes. But the problem is that it doesn't update with news, so i have to click on "View archieves" for each box every single time i want to see the updates.

For example:
If we look at the news box called "Moon and Mars", the last three news feeds are:
Spaceship mockup
This month in Exploration - November
Lunar Outpost Plans Taking Shape
... but when i click "View archieves" i get the real news.

How can this be? I have an idea it is something that has to do with my IE settings. I am using IE version 7.0.5730.11.

Can no one help me?

I get the same error using Firefox. You might try contacting their website support team:

Never got a reply. I have the same problem both with Firefox and IE.

Sporally, I've noticed the same problem. It's the site.

Just weird that Nasa haven't reacted if there are this many people with the problem.

I was thinking about that. Either it's a very bad sign (can't even fix a website?!), or it's a very good sign (everyone's busy with spacecraft). I can't decide which...

Just weird that Nasa haven't reacted if there are this many people with the problem.

I've filed much uglier user-interface problem reports, some with suggested fixes, and nothing ever seems to happen. They don't seem to be able to support the new look -- which is about a year old by now.

When I report content problems, errors in documents, others are responsible and those get fixed. It's just the infrastructure people who appear inept to me.

The NASA website is slow and cruel, and too full of Flash.

After all these years, i've never seen Nasa so uninterested in solving problems. So are there any out there who doesn't have the problem, or is it what everyone is experiencing? And in that case, which browser do you use?
