Just out of curiosity, have any Russian cosmonauts been a member of an American shuttle crew? Also did Buran ever have any manned missions? I know that its first flight was controlled from the ground, but did it have any crewed missions afterwards? Thanks in advance.

They have flown on shuttles to the ISS.

And Buran only did that one remote controlled flight you mentioned. Was its first and last flight.

And from the ISS, I think.

Sergei Krikalev (http://images.jsc.nasa.gov/iams/images/pao/STS60/10097261.jpg) was the first cosomnaut to fly on the Shuttle, on STS-60 (http://www-pao.ksc.nasa.gov/kscpao/shuttle/missions/sts-60/mission-sts-60.html), which featured the Wake Shield Facility (on which I worked) and Spacehab-02. (This was not an ISS flight.) I have the mission patches in English and Cyrillic. Vladimir Titov was the alternate cosmonaut (he also flew on the Shuttle on later missions).
