I wonder how much money could be raised by letting remote control freaks buy time tooling Spirit around on Mars.

They are so efficient, that they have braved the worst dust storms, battled through technical issues and even freed themselves from quicksand, there seems to be nothing standing in their way of these super robotic troopers…

Except NASA budget cuts.

This makes me sick. $4 million is petty cash for a trillion dollar budget.

There must be some billionaire who would like to explore Mars, so if the rover isn't doing anything anyway NASA could auction it off on eBay. They could obviously use the money and the rover would remain useful.
