View Full Version : Smokestack on the moon? Pfeh...

I was listening to C2C on the radio last night while I was doing homework because I needed entertainment to go along with my math. Well, some nut came on and claimed that there was a several-thousand-foot-tall thing on the moon that belched a cloud of smoke and then the smoke dissipated.

I laughed out loud at that one.

Sure, if something puffed some smoke on the moon, it'd get thinnner and thinner because it was moving, but not in the timespan this guy was talking about. He claimed that a puff of smoke, several thousand feet high, would just dissipate in two seconds. I think not.

This has now been thoroughly debunked here (http://www.badastronomy.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=7865). =D>

I'll lock this duplicate thread.
